We would like to inform you that as you are overstayed, you shall pay fines and leave the country. We would like to note that the law granted residents in the UAE a grace period of 30 days either to modify the status and provide new sponsorship for them and their sponsored or leave the country. No fines shall apply during this grace period. If the grace period ends and the 30-day resident exceeds the limit, he shall be fined125 for the first day and 25 for each subsequent day and after six months of exceeding the period of stay after the grace period and the expiry of the residence, he shall be fined 50 dirhams for each day exceeding and after exceeding one year the fine shall be increased to 100 dirhams for each day of delay.
