We would like you to know that you must obtain a work contract in Brunei first and then get a work visa and you can know its cost from the Embassy of Brunei as the cost is changing from time to time and the visa needs a valid passport and a contract of employment certified by the Ministry of Labor and a personal photo and a police clearance and payment of visa fees.

Advantages of working in Brunei

 1. Average salaries are good considering the low cost of living.

 2. Working in the Sultanate of Brunei does not require the payment of taxes either for residents or non-residents.

 3. The economy of the Sultanate of Brunei is very strong and stable.

 4. A safe country with a low crime rate.  Major crimes rarely occur in Brunei and most crimes are not serious.

 5. Brunei is a very clean country where the environment and nature are protected.  A large percentage of tourism in Brunei is a natural tourism to explore the forests of Borneo and its birds.

 6. Wines are not sold in Brunei.

 7. Electricity, water and gas prices are low.

The disadvantages of working in the Sultanate of Brunei

 1. Acceptance of living and working in Brunei depends on the personal nature of the individual.  Many see living in Brunei as boring.  The main reason for this boredom is the intensity of calm and the lack of night clubs and many places to go out.

 2. Car prices are high.

 3. The climate is hot and humid throughout the year - just like Malaysia.

 4. The rental rates of houses are relatively high.
