We would like you to know that the authority responsible for resettlement is the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). Therefore, you should apply for it and explain all the reasons justifying the resettlement and then UNHCR will communicate with the competent authorities to initiate the resettlement procedures. Resettlement is defined by UNHCR as: (Transferring refugees from one state of asylum to another state that has agreed to accept them and eventually grant them permanent residence.  UNHCR is mandated by its statute and UN General Assembly resolutions for resettlement as one of the three durable solutions.  Resettlement is the only durable solution that involves the transfer of refugees from the country of asylum to a third country.
