I'm working as a Mechanical Engineer (unlimted contract) with a fabrication company in Abudhabi. Now the company is going through some financial crisis and they are not paying me on time, salary usually got delayed from one to two months. So I decided to move and resigned on June 13th and my notice period ended on 13th July. But company asked me to continue till July 31st and I agreed it. They never provided any acknowledgement or acceptance for my resignation. Today it is 6th August and there no update from them regarding my visa cancellation. So I went to Tasheel and registered a complaint against the company. Then they called me and asking for handover which was already done last month, but they informed me that they are not satisfied with it and insisting for one more an official handover again. I'm willing to do that again but I feels that they are planning to screw me to reduce my final settlement which will be approximately 50000Dhs, including two salary (June, July), one leave salary and end of service for 18 months. So please advice whether I need to proceed with the hand over again or not.

We would like to inform you that according to the UAE Labor Law, if you resigned and provide it to the employer and the notice period finished, then you can leave the work without approval and they can’t force you to complete working.
For the rights and salaries, then the labor court is specialized for that if the employer refused that, and your legal situation is good if you resigned legally.
