We would like to inform you that if you mean that you are in the country with visit or tourist visa and want to extend or to get work visa, then you can transfer the tourist visa to work but before the expiration of the visa and you can transfer without leaving the country and you shall pay fees of 570 AED.
For the procedures, the sponsor\employer is the one who can issue the visa and transfer it, so you have to follow up with the sponsor if you have work contract as the sponsor will apply for that and pay the fees. If the tourist visa expired then you have to leave the country and apply for new visa for tourist and transfer it to work while it is valid, or you can return with work visa as the employer can issue one for you.
Please note that the tourist visa for a month and may be extended for the same period. Residents can also obtain tourist visas for other members of their families and friends through travel agencies, airlines or hotels. The cost varies from AED 170 for a valid 4-day transit visa (This visa can be obtained directly from the country's airports) to AED 350 for a transit visa valid for 14 days to AED 1,200 for a 30-day tourist visa to AED 1700 for a 90-day tourist visa to AED 2,500 for a multi-entry tourist visa.

All visa types can now be extended for an additional one month without leaving the country for AED 570 per visa prior to the expiry date of the original visa.

Multi-entry visas are available for visitors with local business connections who require frequent visits. Multiple entry visas are valid for visits lasting up to 14 days at a time, for a period of six months from the date of issue. The visa fee is AED 2100 (plus AED 20 delivery fee) and must be applied after entering the UAE on a visit visa.
