We would like to inform you that according to the UAE Labor Law the sponsor is the one who can cancel the residence card. So if you exited from the country and you didn’t return and you exceed 6 months then the residence will be cancelled automatically on the system.
So the employer may report absconding against the worker and that will ban the worker. These issues are related only with the employer.

The Ministry of Labor confirmed that the expired work cards, which the owners left without canceling them, did not cancel the owners of the private establishments in which these cards were employed. After the workers' travel, no fines will be imposed upon them, if they provide proof of exit of the workers who have the cards from the state before expiry.
If the worker travels outside the country after the card expires, the fine will be applied by calculating the period between the expiry date and the date of departure, not the payment of the fine and cancellation of the card, 1000 AED for each delayed month
