To obtain the Italian citizenship mechanically

Being originally from a citizen which means from Italian origins , to be recognized by mother or father during minor age, adaptation or birth in Italia, however in exceptional cases.

Or to be originated from unknown patents or parents with unknown citizenship or from parents cannot transfer the citizenship to the children abroad based on the law of the foreign country of residence .

How to apply to obtain the citizenship by choice,

You should apply at the civil status office of the residence municipality and submit the following documents:

A valid ID document, residence permit, a copy of birth certificate.

-a history certificate of residence,(requested from the competent departments and the registration office of the municipality) if the registration was delayed at the municipality of residence you should provide  documents to prove children’s  stay in Italy in the period preceding the registration of the born(for instance, medical certificate, vaccination certificate, and school enrollment) the receipt of 200.00 euro in the current account the Italian office number 908.020 for the ministry of interior.

Obtaining the citizenship by request, you can apply:

-by marriage to an Italian citizen

-by residence

--by marriage to an Italian citizen

In this case you can apply by:

-if you are a residence in Italy after two years of marriage

-if you are residing abroad, after three years of marriage

During this period, there should not be a separation-divorce- terminating part or all of  civil effects of marriage. There should not be a legal separation of marriage-divorce- and there should not be any hindrance for the security of the country.

The existence of children, who was born or was adapted by the spouses as it will reduce the time required for the application by half. If you obtained the citizenship by any of the preceding methods, then you will obtain the Italian passport, if you are 18 years old or more.
