It should be noted that after reviewing your inquiry and legal scrutiny we would like to inform you that yes, there is a system for the installment of fines, as the installment system allows the payment of fees and fines accumulated, and renewal of commercial licenses through convenient payments within 12 months, provided by the Dubai Economic, in cooperation with the strategic partner «Afaq Islamic Finance», and a number of local banks. The licensee can benefit from the reduction process if fines and fees are accumulated for not more than one year for business enterprises.

Investors can apply for fees and avoid fines. In case the customer wants to temporarily stop the commercial activity while maintaining the commercial license, he can freeze the commercial license and keep it, without accumulating fees and fines.

We would like to inform you that renewing your business license includes these steps:

You shall ensure the validity of your tenancy contract.

If your tenancy contract require renewing, please ensure that it is attested by the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (Ejari).

Step 2: Collect activity-specific licensing approvals (if required).

If your business falls under he following activities, then you need to acquire RTA's approval:

Step 3: Apply for license renewal.

 Now that you have completed the steps above, you need to submit the required documents through various approved application channels:

Auto Renewal:

With the aim of providing a high standard of customer service, DED has launched the Auto Renew service. Send an SMS with your license number to 6969. Renewal Fees will be generated automatically and a payment voucher will be sent to the mobile number.

Customer can pay online or offline through authenticated payment channels. DED will send a copy of the renewed license to the customer through SMS and registered email address.

Please consider attaching all required documents for each of the previous steps.

Note: For branches of UAE, Free zone, GCC and foreign companies, a copy of the trade license of the parent company is required.

Upon submitting the required documents, you will be issued with a payment voucher or a transaction number, which you will need to use as a reference when you pay.

Remember:

The license must be renewed before its expiry date. You will have to pay AED 200 monthly fine after expiry date.
