its not totally ture statment , as AC it self doesnt cause facial paralysis , but directing cold air sources to your face in frequent order may lead to 7th nerve paralysis along with other causes or medical condition such as chest infections 
What are the signs of 7th nerve palsy ( facial paralysis )?

2. downwarded one side of the face 
3. effected area could be large that reach to eye muscles
