We would like to inform you that if the child has the German Nationality then your approval is not need and the renew can be done by the sponsor\mother.
If you want to live in Germany with your son then that requires reunion, but that will not work as the child id below 18 years and your request will be rejected. So the solution is to get temporary visa and after its expiry you have to leave the country.
