Good evening sir I am working in hotel mostly we are doing extra three hours extra duty but as per contract over duty is 9 hrs .the comny not paying over time .so pls advice what we will do.they told if you are doing three hrs extra then any time you come three hrs late .what is the prodsiger

We would like to inform you that for the overtime, you have to check the below information:
If there is a work contract to prove the right to the worker to get overtime wage for 3 hours and calculate them as 9 hours, so that is more than what the UAE Labor Law states, which assures that the overtime is calculated with increase between 25% to 50%. We advise you to apply what mentioned in the contract.
Moreover, you can file a complaint in the Ministry of Human Resources for that.
As UAE Labor Law states:
Article (67)
If the working conditions require the employment of the worker more than the normal working hours, the period of increase shall be deemed to be an additional time for which the worker shall be paid a wage equal to the wage corresponding to normal working hours plus an increase of not less than 25% of that wage.
Article (68)
If the working conditions require the employment of additional time between 9 pm and 4 am, the worker shall be entitled to the overtime pay for the regular working hours plus an increase of not less than 50% of that wage.
Article (69)
Actual overtime hours may not exceed two hours per day unless work is required to prevent, eliminate or mitigate serious loss or serious accident.
