We would like to inform you that If you want to open a project related to minerals, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce in Bahrain adopts this type of project through a procedure called "Industrial Coupon" so you should go to the Ministry of Industry and Trade and apply for this coupon accompanied by the following documents:
- The completed application form
- Applicant's identity (copies of card and passport)
- Present a summary work plan including an engineering plan that shows how to use the voucher
- For existing industrial projects a copy of the Commercial Register and photographs of the products and products (if any)
- Presentation of the financial statements and the report of the accounts of the company for the last three years
- Financial guarantee to finance the project

Dear Mr Ssmer, much thanks for your reply.I think I wasn’t able to make myself clear in my question.Here it is. No Sir, i am not starting a project related to minerals.As I stated, I intend to establish a micro scale enterprise involving a metal working workshop to undertake repair and maintenance and fabrication of components for heavy duty construction machinery.This would involve machining activities with Computerised Universal Turning machines, grinding , Milling, Planing, Drilling, etc. Will not involve Welding or Gas Cutting activities. My query is: Is there any minimum compulsory area/size (in Sq mtrs) required for such a workshop. I would prefer to start with the least area possible (say, 20-25 sq mtr). Kind Regards,

In all cases, the following procedures must be followed for you. As for the conditions that must be met in the workshop, the area should not be less than 50 meters and the front length on the main street should not be less than 6 meters.
