We would like to inform you that according to the law of combating cybercrime in the State of Kuwait, you can in this case go to the Department of Public Investigation to cybercrime department and submit a complaint and explain it in details for its jurisdiction. And whether the perpetrator of the act is from outside the State or within it, he can be traced and requested by the Interpol. If he is living abroad, he may be extradited by the authorities abroad and tried in Kuwait if it is also considered as blackmailing, which the Kuwaiti legislator considered a crime punishable by law as stipulated in article 3 paragraph 4 that is shall be punished by imprisonment whoever uses the information network or one of the means of information technology to threaten or blackmail a natural or legal person to induce him to do a thing or refrain him from doing it.
If the threat is a felony or a violation of the dignity of the person or a disgrace for honor, consideration or reputation, the penalty is the imprisonment for a period not exceeding five years and a fine not less than five thousand dinars and not exceeding 20000 KD or one of these penalties
