We would like to inform you that it is possible for the bank to file a criminal case related to issuing a bounced check which is crime punishable by the UAE law by imprisonment for a period of three years maximum or a fine in accordance with Article 401 of the UAE Penal Code. You have to negotiate with the bank in order to reach a settlement for the amount.
Finally, it is rare for the bank to take legal action against the debtor during negotiations with it.

You should check with the bank again for the final settlement letter and then check with the collection office and submit a copy of the final settlement so that the office will stop following you and threaten to file a case
