We would like to inform you that it is important to have international license even the rent companies accept the Omani license. But if you have international license besides the Omani one then it is very important as some companies require it or by the police. Note that the international license will cost 150 Riyals and you can get it easily by any travel agency or office so you can take it to avoid any issues.
So you can drive with the international license but you need to get permit from the Traffic Department.
