Dear Customer,

Thanks for joining and trusting us, much appreciated!

We would like to inform you that The UAE Labor Law, which is applied in free zones, stipulates that if the contract is limited in duration, it can be terminated only at the end of its term. If it is terminated unlawfully by the worker, the worker must pay compensation to the employer not more than a month and half and If the employment contract is indefinite, it can be terminated only after the other party has been notified at least one month prior to termination. If the worker does not notify the employer of his desire to terminate the employment contract, compensation shall be paid to the employer equivalent to his salary for the period of notification which he has not complied with and the law does not provide for the payment of any other sums from the worker to the employer if the worker terminated the employment contract illegally.
If you have received travel permission, you must provide proof that you have obtained the financial manager's consent to travel on an emergency leave and return.
As the Labor Law allows the employer to dismiss the worker with deprivation of rights if absent from work for seven consecutive days or twenty days scattered during the year
Here is the text of the UAE Labor Law, concerning your inquiry:
Article (116):

Where a contract is revoked by the worker for reasons other than those stipulated in Article (121), he shall be required to compensate the employer for any damage the latter sustains as a result, provided that the amount of compensation shall not exceed half a month wage for three months or for the remaining period of the contract, whichever is shorter, unless otherwise stipulated in the contract.

Article (117):

  1. Either the employer or the worker may terminate an indefinite term contract for a valid reason at any time following its conclusion, by giving the other party a notice in writing at least 30 days prior to termination

  1. For the daily-paid workers, the notice period shall be as follows:
  • One week: if the worker has been employed for more than six months but less than one year.

  • Two weeks: if the worker has been employed for not less than one year.

One month: if the worker has been employed for not less than five years.
