Can a single man adopt a girl in the UAE?

First: Adoption for Muslims

Adoption is forbidden in Islamic law. However, if adoption is the for caring for the child without giving him the surname and name or sponsoring an orphan child, is allowed and legitimate, if it is done through authorized charitable organizations.

The child carries his/her biological father's family name. The UAE Red Crescent Authority facilitates care arrangements for such cases.

Second: Non-Muslim couples residing in the country can adopt a child during their stay period in the country according to the laws of their country and country of the child.

Their embassies in the UAE specify whether parents are suitable to adopt a child before accreditation. The couple shall provide the necessary documents to the country of the child they wish to adopt and to hire a lawyer or mediator to assist them in finding a child in the orphanage. Then, the court in that country is responsible for attesting the adoption case and then at their embassy to legitimize the transaction.

We would like to inform you that Your question was answered clearly, and I told you that adoption is only for non-Muslims, because Islam forbids adoption. In all cases adoption is not allowed to a single young man, since it is necessary to have a husband and wife to provide a family environment for the child and to ensure the necessary care for him and in your case, the adoption will not allow you because you are Muslim and you are a single man
