We would like to inform you that Please be aware that there are many visas to enter the Sultanate of Oman, such visas:
1- Work visa
Granted at the request of a local sponsor and under his responsibility to the next foreigner to work provided that the age of not less than (21) years and the visa is as follows:
- Valid for use within three months from the date of issue.
- Valid for staying in the country for two years from the date of stamping the visa on the passport.
- Renewable multiple trips.
- Fees: RO 20.
- Fines for delay of renewal: (50) fifty riyals for each month
Visa requirements:
- The sponsor must be local and fully qualified and responsible for the validity of the data provided in the applicatio- The applicant's age must not be less than (21) years and not more than (60) years
- The sponsored person must be of the same sex as specified in the work permit issued by the Ministry of Manpower.
- The profession matches between work permit (visa) and visa application
Required Attachmets:
- Submit the application form on the site to be certified and stamped by the sponsor and printed in Arabic for Arab nationalities and in English for non-Arab nationalities, and attached with the following documents:
* Attach two personal size (4 × 6) cm.
Attach a copy of the foreigner's passport valid for at least six months.
* Attach the labor permit issued by the Ministry of Manpower (Minaret) with a copy of it for each application.
* In case the application is submitted by a person other than the sponsor, the delegate must be Omani and have a written authorization issued by the General Directorate of Passports and Residence at the sponsor's request.
* Bring the medical examination card and attach a copy
* A copy of the approval of the concerned authority for some professions such as: teaching professions, religious professions, medical and medical professions, etc.
2 - Visa to visit relatives and friends
Granted to relatives and friends of the Omani at his request and under his sponsorship and responsibility, as well as to relatives of the foreigner residing in the country at the request of the local sponsor and under his responsibility (It is clear from this definition that this type of visa is not granted to foreign friends of foreigners but only to relatives while friends of foreign citizens benefit from this type of visa.) The approval of the application is subject to the discretion of the competent authority.
- Usable: within six months from the date of issue.
- Valid to stay in the country for a period of three months from the date of entry.
- Extendable for one month.
- Fees: (20) OMR.
- Fines for delay of extension: (10) ten riyals for each day.
Required Attachments:
Submit the electronic application form on the website provided that it is approved and stamped by the sponsor and printed in Arabic for Arab nationalities and in English for non-Arab nationalities.
* Attach two personal size (4 × 6) cm.
Attach a copy of the foreigner's passport valid for at least six months.
Attach a copy of the signature form of the authorized signatories issued by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
Attach a copy of the passport of the resident foreigner to be visited (to confirm the degree of kinship).
* Attach a letter of guarantee from the sponsor to assume the responsibility guaranteed during his visit to the Sultanate with clarification of the degree of kinship in it and the visa is extended by the General Directorate of Immigration and Passports
