It should be noted that after reviewing your inquiry and legal scrutiny we would like to inform you that referring to Bahraini Labor Law No. (36) for the year 2012 and to its legal articles organized for the provisions of sick leave
Article 65
A worker who has spent three consecutive months in the service with the employer and whose sickness and entitlement to sick leave has been confirmed by a certificate from a government health center or one of the clinics approved by the employer (company), the employee shall be entitled to the following sick leave during the same year:
· Fifteen paid days
· Twenty days with half the wage
· Twenty days without pay
If a disagreement occurs over the duration of treatment, the medical committee provided for in Article (89) of this law shall determine the duration of the treatment. The sick leave is payable to the worker can be collected or paid as (half of the wage) for a period not exceeding 240 days.
Article 66
The sick worker can benefit from the balance of his annual leave days, in addition to his sick leave which he is entitled to.
