We would like to inform you that the employer shall not take your passport UAE ID. However, if the passport is in the hands of the employer or the ID, it can be claimed. If it is refused, you can submit a complaint to the nearest police station. But the law permits that the passport be held at any government department affiliated to the Ministry of Interior with the legal justification for the reservation or otherwise considered a legal statement. This is unlike the employers in the private sector, which prohibits them from holding their workers' passports.
