I'm not married but I want to file a custody case against my ex could you please advise me if what custody I can file I am ofw in dubai and my son was in my mom in Philippines I'm the only one who's supporting for financial to my son. And all I want is to keep my son to my mother guidance while I'm working as ofw because my ex is planning to take my son after his 7years old please advise me

I would like to inform you that the custody is for the mother but the father can see his kids and participate in their upbringing that is even in Dubai or France.
The UAE Personal Status Law stipulates the following:
1- The custody of women shall be terminated by the age of eleven years and the female thirteen years, unless the court sees the extension of this age for the benefit of the child until the male or the female is married.
2. The custody of women shall continue if the child is disabled or sick, unless the interests of the child are otherwise required.
