The marriage procedure takes place through the Shari'a Court if the couple or husband is at least a Muslim
If the couple is Christian or Jewish, the marriage procedure takes place in the church or the embassy of their state. If the marriage is to take place in the Sharia court, the following documents must be submitted:

- Passport of husband and wife

- Attend the wife's wali

- Certificate of marital status of husband and wife

- Medical examination for those who are next to marriage

- Attending two witnesses

- Emirates residence for the couple or at least one of them
