We would like to inform you that residence is a prerequisite for all expatriates who wish to work or live in the UAE. It is also a requirement to obtain many vital services such as opening a bank account or obtaining a driver's license.
Employment is obtained through the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation and the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in the Emirate concerned.
The procedures for obtaining a work permit after obtaining a work permit from the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, which entitles the holder to enter the UAE for business purposes, are valid for two months from the date of issue.
The facility will then arrange for the worker to obtain a residence permit within 60 days, including a medical examination, obtaining a resident ID card, a work card, and a passport stamp on his passport indicating that the worker is residing in the state on bail of the establishment in which he works.
The residence visa is issued by the Directorate General of Residence and Foreigners Affairs of the Ministry of Interior in the Emirate concerned. The following are links to the offices of the Directorate General for Residency and Foreigners Affairs in the UAE.
