We would like to inform you that the penalty for drinking alcohol on the public road is 6 months imprisonment and / or a fine. Usually, this penalty ends with a fine. article 313:

1. The prohibition of drinking alcohol does only apply on Muslims.

2. Without prejudice to the cases where it is admitted to Non-Muslims, whoever drinks alcohol beverages shall be sentenced to detention for a minimum period of six months and/or to a fine not exceeding ten thousands dirhams.
