Applicants do not need an appointment to visit the Visa application Centre.
All visa applications are accepted as walk-in on all working days between 09:00 to 16:00
- How to Apply
Step 1
Please ensure you read the security regulation notices before you visit the Visa Application Centre.
Step 2
Before applying, please ensure you are very clear on your ‘purpose of visit’. Do remember our staff will be available to assist and help you through the entire visa application process. However, the staff is not permitted to advise or guide you on choosing a visa category. Since our work is primarily administrative in nature, we have no say on whether you will be granted a visa and how long it will take to process, as this is entirely the prerogative of the Consulate. You may refer to the link ‘All about Visas’ to understand details of various visas.
Step 3
Complete your visa application form and affix your photograph. You may download the form from this website.
Step 4
Ensure photos are as per specifications.
Step 5
Attach all supporting documents required as per checklist. Make sure your application is complete. Incomplete applications are not accepted.
Step 6
Submit your application at the VFS centre in Dubai along with the applicable fees in cash (AED).
Step 7
Track your application online
Step 8
Collect your passport from the Visa Application Centre or wait for courier delivery.
- Documents Required
- Application Form (14A duly completed and signed by the applicant. Application should be dated at the time of submission.)
- 2 recent passport sized color photograph in white background taken within the last 3 months. Please see the photo specifications tab
- Travel Document (Passport) - must have a validity of more than 6 months upon entry in Singapore.
- Copy of the Travel Document (Passport) Biodata page, renewals/ extension, observation/amendment page (if there is), residence visa
- Hotel and Ticket Reservation
- Letter of Introduction (LOI – form V39A) with complete details of the inviting person (local contact in Singapore) i.e. full name, NIRC number, Occupation, full address with postal code and telephone number.
*Letter of Introduction (LOI) must be issued by a local contact in Singapore. Any Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident who is at least 21 years old can act as a local contact. If you are not able to furnish a LOI from a local contact, you may approach your Embassy/High Commission/ Consulate to issue a LOI to support your visa application - Copy of contact’s Singapore identity Card
- Level 1 Nationalities
Will not be required to submit LOI or V39A form however the applicant and the local contact in Singapore may be required to provide LOI as supporting document for verification purpose on a case by case basis if the Consulate General of Singapore may need you to provide or whenever necessary
- Applicants must produce a coloured Copy of Letter of Introduction (LOI) and supporting documents from inviting company of Singapore.
Note:
- Incomplete/illegible forms and /or documents will not be accepted.
- The applicant and the local contact in Singapore may be required to furnish additional documents and information whenever necessary.
- Application will be assessed by the Singapore Immigration and Checkpoints Authority based its own merits and supporting documents
- Possession of a visa does not guarantee entry into Singapore. Visitors must also meet entry requirements such as holding a valid passport, sufficient funds for the period of stay in Singapore and confirmed onward/return ticket.
- Applicants can only apply for a visa within 30 days prior to entry to Singapore.
- Applicants can request a representative to submit their visa application and all necessary documents on their behalf however the representative must submit an authorisation letter, without which the application will not be accepted.
III. Processing Time
The processing time for a visa application is approximately 3 working days for Assessment level 1 Countries and approximately 5 working days for Assessment level 2 Countries excluding the day of submission and the Dubai & Singapore week-ends holidays. However, some applications may take longer if further verification and evaluation are required.

Please note that the timings for passport collection from Sunday to Thursday between 09:00 to 17:00, and closed during weekends and holidays.
While collecting your passport at the Visa Application Centre, you are required to provide the following:
- Original payment receipt provided by the officer during document submission.
- Original Emirates ID card
