A bank statement is a requirement for a visa. But it can be cancelled if you have an invitation letter from your friend. In this case it can be submitted to the embassy, and does not require a bank statement or you could not travel and get visa
As for the balance, it will be not less than 2000 US dollars or the equivalent of the currency traded and whenever the account is high, the opportunity to grant visas is greater to obtain it from the embassy
