We would like to inform you that spouses have go to the Palace of Justice and submit an application for divorce and the dispute is presented to the Department of Family Counseling for reconciliation between spouses. In the case of non-reconciliation, the husband is entitled to apply for a divorce, whether in the presence of the wife or not, and notifying her of divorce. A husband who wants to divorce must notify his wife about his desire to do so and within a week, and if she does not attend, she will be divorced in absentia

A divorce hearing is scheduled and witnesses must be present. Divorce is done by the wife refusal to attend. The husband can go back to his divorced wife during the 'iddah period.

As for irrevocable divorce, it happens in the presence of the spouses, and the divorce is irrevocable. In the case of lawsuits, it is also necessary to ask the help from Department of Family Counseling.
