We would like to inform you that according to the UAE Residence Law, yes you can return to your country if you end your work legally and notify the sponsor that you don’t want to renew , then to get the leave permit. Note that after the expiry of the visa you have 30 days grace period to correct the residence situation, and if you want to leave then you can leave without any problem.
