Hello, my 2001 peugot 206 won't start, checked and got code P1612. Any suggestions?
Assistant: What is the model/year of your car?
2001
Assistant: Are you fixing your vehicle yourself? What have you tried so far?
Not working myself.First we lost the ignition key, so we dismantled ignition switch and immobelizer, then we found the spare key and fixed everything back, but car won't start!
Assistant: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
the car was abandant for a long period, is it possible that key needs re assigning?

- Faulty or not programmed ignition key
- Faulty IMMU
- Faulty Engine Control Module (ECM)
