تم تقييم هذه الإجابة:
This is regarding maternity rights in Dubai private sector. As per article 31, my wife has an additional 1 hour every day to breast feed and care for her new born, for 18 months. During Ramadan timings, does this additional 1 hour apply?

Dear Customer,
Thanks for joining and trusting us, much appreciated!

We would like to inform you that the UAE Labor Law lacks a provision forbidding the extra hour during the month of Ramadan for the working mother who is breastfeeding her child. On this basis, this additional hour is valid and must be granted to the mother during the month of Ramadan.
Here is the text of a law for the work of the United Kingdom, and related to your inquiry:
Article 31
During the 18 months following her delivery, a female worker nursing her child shall, in addition to any prescribed rest period, be entitled to two additional breaks each day for this purpose, neither of which shall exceed half an hour. These two additional breaks shall be considered as part of the working hours and shall not entail any reduction of wage.
