Dear Customer
Thanks for joining and trusting us, much appreciated! We welcome you to join us in the legal section
It should be noted that after reviewing your inquiry and legal scrutiny we would like to inform you that

to check your or your son's ban status in UAE is to call up the Immigration department in case of Immigration ban and MOL in case of Labour ban.

Give the call centre agent your passport number and other details like previous visa number and they’d provide you with an update.

If you have left the UAE with some debts behind, the financial institution may have filed a case against you.

In such cases, your representative can walk into any Dubai Police stations with your passport copy, Emirates ID (if available) and Authority Letter to check for any cases registered. If the cases are registered, then definitely you may have immigration ban meaning you will not be able to transit or enter UAE.

To check whether you have a labour ban, you will need to call MOL or MOHRE on their call centre number and enquire with your Passport Number or Emirates ID.

Please note, you also should take consultation of a qualified Lawyer in UAE for these procedures.

Dear customer,
Welcome back again in the Juridic Section,

Please note that my response to your question will be purely from an academic point of view based on the limited preliminary information that has been provided.

Therefore, it should not be treated as a legal opinion for the need of adequate knowledge and revision of the relevant documents when reading the applicable laws.

Under the UAE Labour Law, a one (1) year employment ban is usually imposed if the limited term contract is terminated before its expiry and the employee leaves without a valid reason, or in the case of an unlimited contract, the employee leaves before the expiry of the statutory notice period.

Concerning the One (1) Year Ban

When you resign any job prior to its completion of limited contract, this is enforced. When you lose your case filed against labour ministry, this rule comes to exist. In this case, the employer needs to start the proceeding of work permit even before the expiry of the visa. The ban gets automatically activated, if new application is not forward well before expiry of work permit or a UAE visa.

However, this type of ban can be lifted in accordance to following laws:

  1. Must have minimum qualification of high school diploma.
    2. Must have minimal salary of Dh 5000 (new job).
    3. Dh 7000 applicable for diploma holders.
    4. Dh 12,000 for bachelor degree holder.

Kind regards
