I would like to inform you that the case must first be registered by any employee at the Family Guidance department in one of the Emirates. Coordination between the parties and scheduling a meeting with the family counsellor shall be set.

Interviewing the family counsellor is mandatory for divorce proceedings in the UAE. Couples are allowed to express their concerns about marriage, if their lawyer is not attending

Friendly divorce can be reached at this stage. The parties shall make a settlement and sign a document on this based on mutual understanding between them and to be also signed by the family counsellor

If one or both of the parties insists on divorce, the family counsellor submits a referral letter to allow them of standing at court to conclude the divorce case.

The letter can be submitted to the Court at any time within three months from the date of issuance. Divorce proceedings are conducted at the discretion of the court and each party shall provide evidence against the other party in addition to defending each one him/herself.

Then the divorce procedures done in nonspecific time but it will be achieved during 3 months. Note that the court determines the fees according to the condition and the procedures by the two parties wife and husband.
