 It should be noted that after reviewing your inquiry and legal scrutiny we would like to inform you that Article (29) of the Traffic Law 2007 stipulates that no mechanical vehicle may be driven on the road unless a license is obtained from the licensed authority, which entitles the holder to drive such a vehicle. Except that holders of licenses issued by security authorities, such as the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Defense, citizens of the GCC States, visitors and tourists with international licenses, as well as those with non-Qatari driving licenses, are subject to approval by the General Directorate of Traffic within two weeks.

Driving without a valid license is a criminal offense that requires severe penalties for breaking the law which are up to a fine or imprisonment, and no reconciliation is possible at all.
