Am Adam Mohammed Al-Marai worker in Taif Saudi Arabia from Ghana West Africa.Before i sign my contract i get through and understand,in my contract it was said 8 hours plus over time any any over time will paid 6.49 Saudi Riyals pair day,and the working 6 days out 7day. When i came here Taif i came accros some new terms that's commission achievement and before my basic salary is 900 Saudi Riyals plus my food allowance is SR400 so it will be SR1300, and when i calculated the over time 2 hour every day by a month is SR389.4 so both my of all will be 1689.4 Saudi Riyals and since i started working i haven't get any extra money on my salary accept this over time. When i ask my lead sale man he told me that it doesn't wok. So i wounded why the company has bring such an interested thing but not working as am talking this month of Ramahdan the same that i get so i want know is it true that, that is not working? And at same time am working in key account,we wake up early by 1:30 am to the rout so i wonder why am not getting anything but only this my salary so i want know more about it.

 We would like to inform you that The Saudi Labor Law obliges the employer to pay an additional wage for overtime. The number of working hours in Ramadan should be reduced. If the employer violates any of the provisions of the Saudi labor contract or labor law, the worker may file a complaint against the employer.
Here is the text of the Saudi Labor Law, concerning your inquiry:
Article 98
 A worker may not actually work for more than eight hours a day if the employer uses the daily work criterion or more than forty-eight hours a week if he uses the weekly criterion. During the month of Ramadan, the actual working hours for Muslims shall be reduced to a maximum of six hours a day or thirty-six hours a week.

 Article 107:

 

  1. the employer should pay extra wage to the worker for the overtime equal to the value of one hour in addition to 50 % of the basic age.
  2. If the employment in the establishment is based on the weekly standard of working hours, the hours exceeding the hours taken for this standard shall be deemed to be overtime.
  3. All working hours performed on holidays and holidays shall be considered additional hours.
