Hi I would like to ask you about and issue that I have between my agent of the appartment that I used to live in in New Zealand , I extended my contract for one more year and I talked to the agent if I had to leave for a reason then I should tell you that I’m leaving one month before leaving so u can find new tenant and he said that’s correct and then we I had to leave the country after I finished my study the agent told me that they can’t give me my bond back although I waited one month more so they can find Ned tenants and then he told me okay you can leave but we can’t give you back your bond which is 2000 nz dollars then I said ok and I left and now almost one month after a new agent contacted me like I have to pay until the contract finished which is finish in the beginning of 2020 otherwise she going to talk to tenancy tribunal or debt collector what should I do I feel there is something not right please let me know
