We would like to inform you that The sick leave is paid, so that the worker is entitled to full wages or 15 days of leave and is entitled to half of the wage for the next 30 days and more. He is not paid and if the employer refuses to pay you during the sick leave period you can file a lawsuit against him or register a complaint with the Labor Office at the following link:

Article 83 of the UAE Labor Relations Law:
1 worker shall not be entitled to any paid sick leave during the probationary period.
2. A worker who contracts illness after completing three months, following the probationary period, in the continuous service of an employer shall be entitled to a sick leave not exceeding 90 days, successive or otherwise, in respect of each year of service, to be calculated as follows.
• The first 15 days: with full pay.
• The next 30 days: with half pay.
• Any subsequent periods: without pay.
