How to take oral contraceptive pills , and is this delayed period means pregnancy ?

You should take the pills to prevent pregnancy from the first day of the menstrual cycle  and then continue to use for 21 days and stop using for 7 days and then repeat it monthly after the completion of the 7 days without taking pills to allow the unferilized egg to drop down as menestrual bleeding , so this is normal with using OCP's for the first time and doesn't mean pregnancy so far , but if no bleeding occur during the 7 days without pills , it needs to be investigated

Is a two-hormone contraceptive pill consisting of estradiol, drospirenone, which prevent pregnancy by:
Prevention of ovulation
Increase the thickness of mucus in the cervix to prevent sperm entering
