I have diagnosed as invassive duct carcinoma grade II . Free axillary lymph nodes from metastatic tumour cells. Estrogen sensitive score _8/8 progesterone 3/8 . the tumour size 2×1.5×1.5 cm . Proliferation index for ki 67 is 50%. A sugery was done to remove tumour mass and 2 centinel lymphnodes were removed for pathological examination revealed negative tumour cells
what your advice as regards the proper trestment i should receive?
Have you seen a doctor about this yet? What medications are you taking?
I received Aromasine since one and half month and till now
Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
I have family history as my sister expericed breast cancer and did the surgery radical mastectomy since 15 years

Treatment of invasive ductal carcinoma
It is one of the commonest invasive breast cancers which starts from milk ducts inside the breast result in progression of malignant cells within and out of breast. Treatment is by the following
- Surgery is required to remove either the malignant mass or all breast and this depend on size of tumors and metastasis and at your case removal of malignant mass was done and this is good.
- After surgery, choices like chemotherapy and radiation are good choices and based on your case you used estrogen chemotherapy drug which is suitable as hormones receptors at your cancer was positive.
- I see this is sufficient and all you have to do is regular follow up with your doctors just.
Symptoms of breast cancer
Breast cancer causes the following symptoms
- Irregular breast mass
- Painless breast mass at most cases.
- Fixed breast mass
- Distortion of breast morphology.

Thank you doctorI adding that I have done Prosigna test on the paraffin block of the tumour removed from the surgery and the results are: it is of moderate risk with score 45% and subtype Luminal A and the recurrence rate in the next coming 10 years is 11% . our oncologist consultant described the treatment as radiotherapy and hormonal therapy only (no chemotherapy). Is this protocol of treatment is enough and safe? some oncologists describing to receive Prolia 60 subcutaneous injection every 6 months in addition to radiation and hormonal therapy. What is your opinion in that issue?
