Causes of hematuria ( blood in urine ):
- Urine tract infection
- Renal stones
- Renal infection
- Prostate enlargment
- Tumors
- Renal failure
- Blood disease
- Renal injury
- Excessive exercise
- Medications...etc
Symptoms associated with hematuria:
- Dysuria
- Dark urine
- Bad odour
- Abdominal pain
- Lower back pain
- Flank pain...etc
Diagnosis of the cause of hematuria:
You have to visit urologist for clinical examination and investigations as:- Urine analysis
- Urea Creatinine
- PSA
- Semen analysis
- Abdominal ultrasound....etc
Managament of hematuria:
It depends on the cause and may involve:- Antibiotic as ciprofloxacin 500 mg twice daily
- Drink good amount of water daily.
