What is circumcision:

It is a minor operation done by cutting the foreskin of the penis

Why do people do circumcision:

• religious reasons
• traditional reasons
• in case of recurrent urinary tract infections
• phimosis of the penis

How is it done:

• local or general anesthesia depending on the operator
• cutting the foreskin above the glans of penis
• placing an absorpable suture at the area of incesion to limit the bleeding
• giving the patient pain killer medication for few days after the operation
• in your case, it is propably that a piece of foreskin still left and they will remove it in the second operation
• sometimes when circumcision doesn't go well it may leave few disfiguration in the area and in most cases they are treated very well surgically
