Treatment of uncontrolled high blood pressure:

According to your father age and general health condition, he is taking good medication for hypertension.
But doses need to be increased, so he can try to take diovan 160 mg once daily and dose may be increased to 320 mg till contol blood pressure.
It is better to consult your doctor before increasing the dose as he has more informations about the general health of your father.

Symptoms of high blood pressure:

Usually is asymptomatic, but may suffer from:

• Headache
• general fatigue
• Dyspnea
• Epistaxis

Causes of high blood pressure:

Usually, there is no known cause of hypertension.
In some cases the cause may be:

• Renal disease
• Taking some medications
• Thyroid disease
• Tumors as adrenal gland tumors...etc
