• The doctor should rule out bacterial infection as one of the possible causes of gastric ulcer .
• The patient should avoid precipitating factors such as smoking, alcohol . spicy foods.
• The doctor may prescribe medication to relieve this condition such as omeprazole which decrease the production of the gastric acid HCl.
