My name is nasra .a mother of one boy.after i gave birth in june 2014 i decided to use family planning. I went for a five year norplant in my left hand.after that i missed my periods for a year but i could spot blood in some time. Now after i stopped breastfeeding i could recieve my periods monthly for 4 to 5days. Until last year july i got a prolonged period of 10 days. After that i recieved normally until january this year i got for 10days and to my worry is feb i have recieved for 11days. Now i kindly need advice because am getting worried too much and my norplant is expering next year july 27.pliz wot help me kindly
Have you seen a doctor about this yet? What medications are you taking?
No i havent seen any doxtor since i am in foreign country and my country is kenya am in qatar and i dont get chance to visit doctor. Currently i have been taking some anti biotics since i had a sever chest pain

What is the problem with my menestrual period?
Well it's normal to have some irregularity of Menses you during you lifetime especially that you have norplant so you need to know what is the characteristics of normal menstrual cycle and those include the cycle usually come between 25 to 35 days each month also it might come with lower abdominal pain it lasts between two days to 7 days add to that the amount of the bleeding is between 25 ml 80 ml you don't need to worry about your. It's the only problem is delay of period from time to time
What are the tests that you need to do?
CBC to diagnose if there is anemia and to treat it.
Urine analysis to diagnose if there is Urinary infection.
Abdominal ultrasound to alocate the site of norplant
After those tests you need to visit a doctor
