my daughter has been having flu like symptoms for 4 days, the pain became more focussed around ha tooth the dentist said a wisdom tooth is causing the problem and px painkillers and an anibiotic, he warned that they could cause nausea. She has taken only 2 tabs and has severe vomiting and the generalised aching has returned and she is feeling really unwell. Should I return to the dentist?
Have you seen a doctor about this yet? What medications are you taking?
we saw a dentist
metronidazole 500mg TDS and dolorgiet which contains paracetemol

According to what you have mentioned your daughter have an inflammation and probably infection in her tooth which must be first treated before any producer can be performed by your dentist, I totally agree with him
As regarding the treatment with metronidazole, it is the drug of choice to over counter anaerobic bacteria and she also need additional antibiotics to cover other bacteria as clamoxcin or amoxicillin
If she suffer from side effects regarding metronidazole, you should contact your dentist and see alternative medication
Clindamycin
Moxiflaxocin
Tinidazole
Augmin
Headache
Nausea
Metallic taste
Diarrhea
Stomach upset
Stuffy nose

He might prescribe an alternative, which might include one of the following:
Clindamycin
Moxiflaxocin
Tinidazole
Augmin
