Treatment of sciatica

• At most cases sciatica is associated with lower back disc thus it is better to do back MRI to diagnose any back disc that exacerbate your problem
• There are many drugs that used to relieve pain, results of drug is different from one person to another thus you have to be patient and taking drugs.
• Analgesics like ibuprofen 600 mg three times daily or paracetamol in addition to codiene to relieve pain is good choice
• You can take Lyrica 100 mg to relieve pain. or Carbamazepine 200 mg
• Physiotherapy is good choice to relieve pain and you have to continue on it
• If drugs do not relieve your pain , you can ask for steroid injections on your sciatic site to relieve pain
• Surgical treatment of there is associated bladder or stool incontinence or your pain does not relieved with drugs or physiotherapy

Risk factors of sciatica

• Advanced age
• Obesity
• Prolonged sitting
• Your work if there is heavy work
• Diabetes

Symptoms of sciatica

Usually it causes the following symptoms

• Sudden severe pain at one leg
• numbness and tingling
• Bladder and stool incontinence
