What are milestones at age 12 months

Milestones is used to evaluate the baby growth based on his age. At age 1 year it is expected from baby to do the following

• Jabbers word like sounds
• Imitates others activities
• Takes few steps
• says one to two words in addition to mom and dad
• respond to simple instructions
• walks alone

 Causes of delayed milestones

There are many causes of delayed milestones like the following

• At most cases delayed is temporary without medical causes and you have not to compare your child with another one
• Neurological problems like brain atrophy or brain tumors
• Syndromes
• Brain infections
• Drugs side effects
• Birth asphyxia
