My left pain in the neck and the whole hand hurt....

Treatment of hand pain:

• you have to rule out the major risks like venous thrombosis or vertebral disck herniation or myocardial infarction by going to emergency departement to evaluate your case precisely
• patients will take heparine then swich for warfarine if there was deep vein thrombosis
• patient will receive physical therapy in addition to analgesics like iboprufen or diclofen if there is disck herniation
• the patient will receive an immediate oxygen supplementation and few other drugs like aspirin and morphine in case of myocardial ischemia
• the patients will receive an antibiotic like (ceftriaxone) if there was a diffuse skin infection of the hand
• if the patient is having bone or joint pain, then iboprufen and cortisone are useful for him/her

Diagnosis of left hand pain:

• history and physical examination
• doing X-ray for the limb
• doing an ulstrasonography for specific part of the limb where the most painful area localised
• doing an ECG for the patient who is complaining of defficulty breathing and nausia
• doing duplex ultrasound for the venous system of the limb
• taking a complete blood count

Causes of left upper limb pain:

• diffuse infection
• deep venous thrombosis, the patient usually complains of swelling and pain in the limb
• neurological problem like disc herniaton or peripheral neuropathy
• inflammatory process like joint inflammation
• associated symptom with myocardial infarction, in whic the patient feels difficulty breathing and nausious
