Treatment of perianal fistula

It is one of the commonest surgical problem that affect high percent of people at anal area due to many factors and causes which result in many symptoms that affect the patient ability to do daily life actions. Based on your scenario, i advise the following
  • Treatment of perianal fistula today is by surgocal seton procedure which with time enhance closing the abnormal canal and terminate the problem. Seton itself is expected to fall down within days of the procedure.
  • About the drain, Drain for 6 years is abnormal or considered strange as drain is removed if there is no bloody or other discharge from the wound itself thus it is strange to be found for 6 years.
  • It is better to seek for medical examination and evaluation by your surgeon to determine your status.
