Treatment of cough

It is one of the commonest complain to have chest pain induced or exacerbated by cough and based on what you mentioned, i advise you to do the following

• About the right shadow detected by chest x ray, it is better to seek for your family doctor help as to confirm or exclude is the shadow due to pneumonia or not.
• Your chest pain is due to cough, as chronic cough irritate chest muscles which result in pain thus treatment of cough is treatment of your chest pain.
• Take antihistamine drug like cetirizine 10 mg once daily to relieve symptoms.
• Increase your intake of hot drinks.
• Causes of chest pain
