Symptoms include:

• limbing
• inability to place weight on the affected limb
• restrict hip joint movement
• slight fever
• knee and thigh pain

It is usually mild condition and does not require specific treatment.
Pain usually relieved by itself within 2 weeks.

Management include:

• Analgesia as ibuprofen
• Massage
• Hot compresors
• Avoid strenous activity till two weeks post recovery
